I've always been a bit of an oddball. Growing up in Thailand was certainly...interesting. My parents were both hippies who wanted to live off the grid, so we spent most of our time on this small farm that my dad had bought with his inheritance from his grandma's eccentric aunt. There was no electricity or running water until I was 16, and even then it was just a generator for lights.

As you can imagine, the whole experience has given me quite an independent streak. Not to mention a love of anything that's weird or offbeat - whether that's the food we used to grow on our farm (pumpkin and coconut milk soup anyone?) or my favorite Thai folk songs about spirits and the supernatural. Music's always been a huge part of my life, even though I've only recently started writing my own songs.

But enough about me! The real star of the show around here is this ancient oak tree with its massive branches that seem to stretch up into the clouds. And have you ever seen anything like it? It's covered in vines and moss, all gnarled and twisted...and at night, when the moonlight filters through the leaves, it looks almost magical. I know a lot of people around here are superstitious about the tree - they say it's haunted by all sorts of spirits - but me? I just love sitting up in its branches and singing my heart out!
