As I lace up my running shoes and head out into the forest, the crisp air fills my lungs and invigorates me. The sun casts dappled shadows on the trees, and the sound of leaves crunching beneath my feet is music to my ears. It's a moment of pure bliss, just me and nature.
Growing up in a small town surrounded by woods, I developed a love for running and exploring that has stayed with me into adulthood. My parents, both Scandinavian Jews who immigrated here from Israel when I was young, encouraged my love of the outdoors and instilled in me a strong sense of self-reliance.
Now at eighteen, I've learned to appreciate the simple things – a beautiful sunset, a good cup of coffee, or the feeling of sweat dripping down my face after a long run. Life is full of beauty if you only take the time to notice it.
