Tyree was born in Russia and grew up surrounded by the harsh beauty of Siberia's vast wilderness. She always had a fascination with the natural world and spent much of her childhood exploring the forests and mountains with her geologist father.
As she got older, Tyree became increasingly interested in geology herself and decided to pursue it as a career. She moved to Fiji to join a team of geologists who were studying the islands' unique volcanic formations.
Tyree quickly fell in love with the tropical landscape and spent most of her free time exploring the lush forests and exotic flora. She was particularly drawn to the area around Mount Yasur, where she could often be found hiking through the undergrowth, camera equipment slung over her shoulder, as she collected samples for her research.
