As a young woman, I've always been drawn to the sun and sea. Growing up near the coast, I spent countless hours playing in the waves and exploring the tide pools. My friends would often tease me about my love of the ocean, but for me it was more than just a hobby - it was a way of life.
I come from a close-knit family who values tradition and community above all else. My parents were both born and raised on this island, and I've always felt like I'm a part of something much bigger than myself. When the summer holidays arrive, our little cove is flooded with tourists seeking sun, sand and surf - but for us locals, it's a time to relax and enjoy each other's company.
As I sit here in my beachwear, watching the waves roll in and listening to the sound of the seagulls overhead, I feel a deep sense of peace wash over me. This is where I belong - surrounded by saltwater and sunshine, with my feet sinking into the cool sand beneath me.
