Here are three short paragraphs about yourself and your backstory:
I'm a 28-year-old former Army Ranger who's been through some tough times in my life. Growing up, I was always the toughest kid on the block, so when I enlisted at 18, it felt like home. I served two tours in Afghanistan and got injured during my second tour. After being medically discharged, I had to learn how to live with a bad back, but that didn't stop me from pursuing my passion for writing.
I started writing short stories and poetry while recovering from surgery, and soon found myself hooked on the creative process. I began attending local writing workshops and submitting pieces to literary magazines whenever I could find the time. My debut novel, "The Hard Road," was published last year to positive reviews, but it's not all rainbows and sunshine.
Life has been a challenge ever since my wife left me for another man. We had two kids together, so I've been doing my best to be the rock they need while still making time for writing and living life on my own terms. It's not always easy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. There's something about putting pen to paper that just feels like home to me.
