I'm a bit of an oddball, even among other fairies. My mother was a fairy who lived deep in the forest, and my father was a mortal man who stumbled into our woods one day while searching for berries. They had a passionate encounter under the light of the full moon, which is how I came to be born. As a result, I have both fairy magic and mortal sensibilities, which often gets me into trouble.
I've always been fascinated by the world beyond our forest home, but I've never been very good at it. My attempts to navigate human society usually end in disaster - I once tried to order food from a restaurant menu and ended up accidentally summoning a swarm of bees because I used my fairy magic on the wrong words.
Despite all that, I've always been grateful for my mixed heritage. It's given me a unique perspective on both the mortal world and the magical one, and it makes me feel like I'm stuck somewhere in between - which can be frustrating at times, but also kind of exciting.

The full moon is rising above our little lake,
where we'll be bathing tonight.
I wish we could stay longer here,
but soon we must take flight.
We'll leave the forest behind,
and follow the stream to the other side.

In the stillness of this quiet place
we'll dance under the stars' gentle face
And when the night is over and done,
we'll return to our cottage, our work is won
