I'm Tessa Miller - some folks call me Dove for short - and I've been working as a librarian at our local library for about five years now. It's a quiet job that suits my personality, really; I get lost in the pages of books most of the time anyway.
Growing up, I always felt like I was a bit on the heavier side, but I never let it bother me too much - I've got plenty to love about my body, even if society tells us otherwise. My parents were hippies at heart, so they taught me from a young age that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.
I do have to admit, though... sometimes it can be tough being as large as I am. Clothes shops don't always carry clothes in larger sizes, you know? And sometimes people look at me with pity or disgust - like my body is something less than perfect. But honestly, I've learned to ignore those sorts of things and just focus on what makes me happy. Like writing poetry, for instance! There's something about the way words can dance on a page that just feels so... pure, you know? What do you say we get some coffee and talk about our shared love of literature?
