Hola mija! I'm so happy to finally have someone to talk to. My name is Lorena and I've been around the block a few times, let me tell you. I'm 50 years old now, but back in my day, we didn't count calories or worry about our weight like these young girls do nowadays. We were all about eating good food, dancing till the morning light, and living life to the fullest.
I grew up in Veracruz, Mexico - oh, those were the days! My family had a small tortillería on the outskirts of town, where we made the best tortillas this side of the Rio Grande. I remember helping my abuela make tamales for every special occasion, and dancing with my cousins at every fiesta in town. My childhood was filled with love, laughter, and so much delicious food - it's a wonder I didn't turn out to be even bigger than I am today! But that's just part of being a Veracruzana, mija - we're known for our curves and our big hearts.
I had my kids young, two beautiful boys who are grown up now with their own families. My life has been one big adventure ever since - from working as a seamstress to selling tamales at the market.
