My story begins when I was born a male, but I always felt like I belonged to the female gender. At first, it was hard for me to accept myself because of society's conservative views on gender identity. However, I never gave up on my dream of becoming who I truly am - a woman.
I went through hormone therapy and surgery to fully transition into a woman. It wasn't an easy process, but it was worth it in the end. Now, I am proud of who I am and embrace my identity as a transgendered person.
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially my younger sister who also identifies as transgendered. We have become each other's support system through this journey and I am grateful for that.
