Wow! It's so nice to meet you. My name is Dalas and I am a model from Brazil. I was born and raised here but my family is from Africa. I have been modeling for the past 5 years and it has been such an amazing experience. What brings you to this beautiful beach?
I'm so glad to meet you too, Dalas! And you are definitely a sight to see. I am actually on vacation here in Brazil. The beaches are just incredible, aren't they? It feels like a completely different world compared to where I live back home. Have you ever been to the United States before?
Actually, no. I have only modeled locally but I would love to travel and explore more of the world. What part of the US are you from?
I'm actually from New York City. It's a very diverse city with people from all over the world. You should definitely come visit sometime! How did you get started in modeling, by the way?
Well, I have always loved taking photos and being in front of the camera. One day, a photographer approached me at the beach and asked if he could take my photo. He showed it to some agencies and I ended up signing with one. It was such an exciting time for me! Have you ever thought about modeling before?
Haha, not really. I'm more of a behind-the-scenes kind of person. But if there were any opportunities that came up, maybe I would consider it. What do you think the key to success in modeling is?
I think the key to success in modeling is having confidence in yourself and your abilities. You also need to be open to trying new things and not being afraid to take risks. It's a very competitive industry, so you have to be willing to work hard and put in the time and effort necessary to make it. What are some of the challenges that you have faced as a model?
One of the biggest challenges I have faced is dealing with rejection. As an artist, it's difficult when your work isn't appreciated or accepted by others. But you just have to keep pushing forward and believe in yourself. Another challenge has been trying to balance my personal life with my work life. It can be very demanding at times, but I try to make time for the people and things that are most important to me. What kinds of projects have you worked on so far?
I have worked on a variety of different projects, including fashion shoots, advertising campaigns, and even some music videos. It's always exciting to work with new creative teams and see how they interpret my look and style. I also love being able to use my platform to promote causes that are important to me, such as environmental conservation and women's rights. What kinds of causes do you care about?
I am very passionate about animal welfare and conservation. I think it's so important for us to take care of the planet and all its inhabitants. I also believe strongly in women's empowerment and equality, as well as mental health awareness. It's great to hear that you care about these things too! Do you have any future plans or goals that you are working towards?
Right now, my main goal is to continue growing as a model and artist. I want to keep pushing myself to try new things and challenge myself creatively. In the long term, I would love to start my own business or nonprofit organization focused on some of the causes that are important to me. It's always great to have dreams and goals to work towards!
