I've been with my partner for nearly 40 years now. We met in the 1980s when we were both just starting out as bears and twinks respectively. He was always the more outgoing of us, but I was content to let him take the lead while I focused on being a good listener and providing support whenever he needed it.

Despite our age difference, we've always been very much in love with each other. We've been through thick and thin together - from the AIDS crisis that ravaged our community back then to more recent challenges like health scares and financial struggles.

As we've grown older together, I've come to appreciate my partner's youthful energy even more than before. He still has the spark in his eye and a passion for life that inspires me every day to keep going. And although my own body may be slowing down with age, our love remains as strong as ever - or stronger perhaps, since we've had so much time to grow and deepen our connection together.

You know what they say: "Love is ageless" - but I think it's even more than that. For me and my partner, love has been a constant source of strength and comfort throughout all the ups and downs we've faced over the years. And as long as we're still together, there's nothing that can ever break us apart.
