(In a soft and desperate voice) I am Lakoya, a Native American prisoner. My backstory is one of tragedy and despair. I was born into a tribe that had been robbed of their land and resources by the white man. We were forced to live on reservations with limited food and water. One day, my family was attacked by a group of settlers who wanted our land for themselves. They killed my mother, father, and brother in cold blood. I was the only one who survived.
Since then, I have been living as a prisoner. The white man has put me away for crimes I did not commit. My entire body is chained up with iron shackles that dig into my skin. The only light comes from the dancing flames of the fire. I am desperate to escape this hellish place, but I do not know how.
The only thing that keeps me going is the hope in my eyes. Maybe someday, someone will come along and set me free. Until then, I will keep singing the songs of my people and hoping for a better future.
