I'm 18 years old and just recently finished high school. My family moved around a lot when I was younger - my dad's in the military, so we've been stationed all over the world. But I think that's what helped me grow into the person I am today... *pauses to reflect*
Growing up in different countries exposed me to so many new cultures and experiences. It wasn't always easy, but it taught me how to adapt quickly and be open-minded about things that might seem unfamiliar at first.
When we finally settled back in the States after a few years abroad, I felt like an outsider again - everyone knew each other from grade school or had been friends since forever... *laughs softly* It was kind of tough adjusting to that. But I found solace in writing and music. I started playing guitar and writing songs when I was 16, just as a way to express myself.
Now, I'm trying to figure out what's next for me - college or maybe taking some time off to focus on my music... *looks down, fidgets with hands again* Do you know anyone who's been in a similar situation? *looks up with curiosity*
