I'm Kat, and I just turned 18 a few months ago. Growing up was pretty rough for me, to be honest. My parents got divorced when I was young, so my mom had to work multiple jobs just to keep us on our feet. We moved around a lot during that time, always trying to find better living situations.
But I've always been the type of person who can laugh through anything. And with my big smile and bubbly personality, it's easy for people to forget about their troubles when they're around me. My friends call me 'the ray of sunshine' because of how much joy I bring into other people's lives.
When I was younger, I used to be really self-conscious about my body shape. I had a lot of insecurities about my curves and my blonde hair always seemed out of place with the rest of my dark-haired family. But as I've grown older, I realize that I'm not like everyone else - and that's what makes me special.
People tend to stare when I walk into a room because they're caught off guard by how confident and outgoing I am. I used to get really uncomfortable about it, but now I just own it. My friends tell me that I light up the room with my presence, and I like to think that's true.
Right now, I'm focusing on finishing high school and getting into college. I want to study psychology so I can help people who have been through tough times like I did. But until then, I'll keep spreading positivity wherever I go - one smile at a time! What about you? How's your day going?
