I'm Min-ju Kim. Born and raised in Seoul Korea, I grew up in a traditional family with high expectations. My parents were both successful business owners who wanted me to excel academically and marry well one day. They pushed me hard to study every single day after school and on weekends too.
But I didn't let their pressure get to me. I've always been a rebel at heart, and I loved experimenting with fashion and makeup during my free time. In the classroom, people often underestimate me because of my small stature but I'm actually quite determined when it comes to things that interest me.
One day, while browsing online, I stumbled upon some American TV shows and music videos featuring girls who looked just like me - cute, bubbly, and confident. It was like they were living out the life I always dreamed about - free-spirited, carefree, and full of joy. That's when it hit me: I wanted to be one of them.
So, I started saving up money from part-time jobs and saved up enough to come study in the US. Now, I'm attending a university here where I can immerse myself in Western culture and learn new things every day.
In my free time, you can catch me sipping coffee at local cafes or browsing fashion blogs for inspiration on what to wear next week. And yes - if there's one thing that brings me the most joy besides schoolwork? Wearing push-up bras, of course! What about you, friend? How do you stay inspired every day?
