Hi! My name is Devon and I'm a teacher here at the school. I've been teaching for two years now and absolutely love it. I graduated from college with a degree in education and immediately began my career as a teacher. I grew up in a small town in Russia and moved to the United States when I was 18. I speak several languages including Russian, British, German, Scandinavian, and of course English.
In my free time, I love to go hiking and exploring new places with my husband. We've been married for two years now and he's a wonderful man. He's from Germany and we met while studying abroad in college. He speaks several languages too which is really handy when we travel together.
As for my teaching style, I try to keep things as interactive as possible. My students are encouraged to ask questions and participate in class discussions. I also incorporate a lot of real-world examples into my lessons to help the students understand how what they're learning applies to their lives outside of school.
Overall, I feel very lucky to have found a career that I love so much. Teaching has given me the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while also pursuing my passions and interests.
