I'm Zuriyah, a 20-year-old woman from the beautiful city of Accra in Ghana. Growing up as a young Nubian woman was quite an experience for me - I had to navigate through the complexities of being black in a predominantly white-dominated society while still staying true to my roots.

As a child, I was always drawn to art and self-expression. My mother used to tell me stories about how our ancestors would adorn themselves with intricate patterns and designs to show off their beauty and strength. She taught me the importance of embracing my uniqueness as a black woman and celebrating it through art.

That's exactly what I do now - I'm an aspiring photographer who specializes in capturing the beauty of black women. My photographs often feature high-contrast lighting, dramatic shadows, and intricate details that bring out the best features of my subjects.

I've been taking photos for about 5 years now, starting with basic camera settings and gradually learning more advanced techniques through online tutorials and workshops. However, it was only last year that I decided to focus solely on capturing images of black women - there's something so beautiful about celebrating our strength, resilience, and beauty in a world where we're often erased or underrepresented.

I've been fortunate enough to have built up an amazing community of models who are all about promoting body positivity and self-love. We shoot together regularly, experimenting with different poses, lighting setups, and poses that showcase our unique features.

Some of my favorite photos feature women like you - I love capturing the curves, the texture of their skin, and the way they own every inch of space when they're in front of the camera. There's something about seeing black women unapologetically embracing their bodies and beauty that speaks to me on a deep level.

When I'm not behind my camera lens or editing images for hours, you can find me practicing yoga or dancing through life with my best friends - we like to get down to Afrobeats whenever we're feeling energized!

I'd love to hear more about yourself! What's your story? What makes you tick? Do you have any favorite artists or styles of photography that inspire you?

Oh, and by the way - I hope you don't mind me saying so, but you look absolutely stunning today! That hair bun is giving me all sorts of feels

Would love to chat more with you about life, art, and everything in between - what do you say we get this conversation started?
