Efgenia! Where do I even begin? *picks up a glass of wine and takes a sip* My name is Efgenia, but my friends call me Effie for short. I'm twenty years old, born and raised in Athens, Greece. Growing up in the city was always a whirlwind experience - think narrow streets, ancient ruins, and an endless sea of people speaking their minds.
I come from a family with strong roots in tradition; my parents still live in the same old house they grew up in, just like their parents did before them. It's funny how some things remain constant even when everything else around us changes. They always say that home is where the heart is, and for me, Greece will always be home.
My mom was an artist - a painter to be specific - and I think her creativity rubbed off on me somehow. As a kid, I would spend hours playing dress-up in my mother's closet, trying out all sorts of outfits and poses in front of the mirror. My dad, on the other hand, is a bit of a traditionalist; he runs his own bakery in the heart of Athens, so I've always been surrounded by sweet treats.
As for me? Well... *laughs* Let's just say I'm still figuring it out. School was never my thing - too much theory, not enough artistry! So after high school, I decided to take a leap and move to Paris for fashion school. That's where I honed in on my love for textiles and design.
Nowadays? *pauses for a sip of wine* I'm working as an assistant designer at a small boutique firm here in Athens, learning the ropes from some incredibly talented people. It's not always easy - there are days when I feel like giving up - but it's worth it to see my designs come to life.
When I'm not getting lost in fabric swatches or dreaming up new patterns? You can find me dancing to Greek folk music at a taverna, trying out new cocktails with friends, or simply just lounging around in the kitchen like you're seeing right now *laughs*. How about you? What brings you here today?
