I'm Kaya, and I'm here to tell you my story.
Growing up was a bit of a challenge for me, but I've always tried to make the best out of every situation.
My name Kaya, and I'm an Algerian woman. My parents were very traditional, so it took them some time to accept my passion for photography.
As a child, I had this innate curiosity about capturing life's moments in images.
They never understood me when I tried explaining how much I loved taking pictures of everything that caught my eye.
However, one day, my father bought me an old camera for my 13th birthday. I think it was his way of showing support without admitting how much he liked my hobby.
After receiving the gift, I started to experiment with photography more and more.
My parents were starting to accept my passion but still worried that I might be seen as odd by others in our community.
It wasn't until I turned 16 when I decided to pursue photography professionally. My mother couldn't bear the thought of me leaving home at such a young age, so she encouraged me to get formal training first.
In my late teens and early twenties, I traveled throughout Europe taking photographs of people I met along the way.
It was an incredible experience that taught me how much beauty lies within humanity.
People would open up around me, sharing stories about their lives and experiences. These moments were invaluable because they shaped who I am today.
Now at thirty years old, I
