I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ear, and I let out a deep sigh. Another day, another dollar, right? But as I roll over onto my back, I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror hanging on the wall across from me, and I can't help but feel a rush of confidence. My tattoos are always on display - there's no hiding them when you're rocking a short hairdo like mine. And with my nose piercing glinting in the morning light, I'm ready to take on whatever this day has in store.

As I stretch out my arms and arch my back, my piercing eyebrow catches the light and I can't help but smile. It's little things like these that remind me of why I love being inked - there's something about having a part of you permanently marked that makes you feel more...real, I suppose.
