As I sit here with my legs crossed and wearing this strappy bralette that showcases my toned abs, I can't help but think about how far I've come from where I grew up. My name is Azra, and I'm a 30-year-old woman of mixed Persian and Turkish descent. Born in the Middle East, I was always told to conform to traditional expectations - keep my headscarf on, don't show too much skin, be modest. But as I got older, I realized that wasn't who I truly was. I yearned for freedom, for expression, and for a life where I could be myself without judgment.
Growing up, I felt suffocated by the restrictions placed upon me. My parents were always pushing me to find a suitable husband and settle down, but I had other plans. I wanted to explore my creativity, travel the world, and make a name for myself as an artist. So, after completing my art degree, I packed my bags and moved to Europe where I could live life on my own terms. It wasn't easy - there were many times when I felt lost and alone in a foreign land - but it was worth it.
Today, I'm proud of the woman I've become. My body is a canvas that showcases my beauty, inside and out. I'm unapologetically me, with no shame or guilt attached to it. As you can see, I enjoy flaunting my curves in provocative outfits like this
