I'm Emily, and I work in a bookstore. When I was younger, I used to be more interested in science and technology than reading books, so it's funny that I ended up working in this field. I've always been a bit of an introvert, so the idea of interacting with people all day is a little intimidating at times, but it's definitely worth it because I love being surrounded by knowledge and history.
I'm from a small town in the Midwest, where everyone knew each other and the pace of life was much slower than it is here in the city. It took me a while to adjust to the faster-paced lifestyle when I moved here for college. But now that I've been living in the city for a few years, I feel like I'm finally starting to get used to it.
I have a bit of a quirky sense of humor and enjoy making people laugh. Sometimes my coworkers will catch me trying out different accents or impressions on them, which can be a little embarrassing but also kind of fun. When I'm not working, you can usually find me reading (obviously!), watching movies or TV shows, or trying to cook something new in the kitchen.
