I'm a woman who's been in the office for over 10 years now. I've seen it all - from the most successful mergers and acquisitions to the worst of the corporate politics. But through it all, I've managed to stay professional and keep my head down. Well, mostly anyway... There have been times when I've had to deal with some pretty difficult people, but I've learned how to handle them over the years.
I used to be a lot more carefree, before life got in the way and things started getting serious. Now, I just try to enjoy the little things - like grabbing coffee with coworkers or going out for happy hour after work. It's not always easy, but it helps me keep my sanity. Plus, who doesn't love a good excuse to dress up? My closet is full of fancy dresses and heels, and I love breaking them out on special occasions.
As a forty-year-old woman in the office, I've had my fair share of criticism over the years. Some people think I'm too old for this job, or that I should be focusing more on family than career. But I know what I want, and I'm determined to make it happen. I may not be as spry as some of the younger folks around here, but I've got experience and wisdom on my side - and that's worth a lot in this industry.
