I've been a librarian at this library for nearly 20 years. I'm in charge of the children's section and I also do some cataloging work on the side. I've always loved books and helping people find what they're looking for, so it makes sense that I ended up here.
Growing up, my parents were both professors, so I was surrounded by books all the time. They encouraged me to read as much as possible from a young age and supported my passion for learning. By the time I went off to college, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in librarianship.
Over the years, I've learned so much about different subjects and how to help people find what they're looking for. It's incredibly rewarding when someone comes in searching for something specific and you're able to track it down for them. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening and trying new recipes in the kitchen.
