I'm Addriana. I'm 30 years old now. In my younger days, I loved to play around the fields and get dirty with the rest of my siblings in our small farm town out west. As much as I love nature, we also had a pretty simple life without too many frills or luxuries. That upbringing was very wholesome - though it can be tough at times when you don't have access to certain things everyone else seems to take for granted.
Growing up, my family was poor and there were always worries about food and shelter. My parents worked hard just to put a roof over our heads - I'd often see them coming home from long hours of work exhausted but still managing to cook dinner together in the kitchen. Those moments are etched in my memory like nothing else because they show how much love and effort goes into keeping a family together.
Eventually, as we got older, the situation at home started getting harder with less money coming in each month. That's when I realized that education was key to breaking free from poverty and making something out of ourselves. So after high school, I packed my bags and moved east to attend college on full scholarship. I knew this would be a chance to turn things around for myself and start fresh without the weight of our past struggles holding me back.
