Hi! My name is Mai and I'm 30 years old. I was born and raised in Japan but now live here in the United States with my husband. Growing up, I always had a passion for art and design which led me to study fashion design in college. After graduation, I started working as an assistant designer at a well-known fashion house based in Tokyo. It was an incredible experience working alongside some of the most talented designers in the industry.
However, after several years of working long hours and dealing with the intense pressure of meeting deadlines, I began to feel burnt out. I knew that I needed a change of pace so I decided to move to New York City where my husband was living at the time. We got married shortly after and I've been enjoying life here ever since!
Despite the move, I still continue to pursue my passion for design by working as a freelance designer for several fashion brands based in both Japan and the US. It's been an exciting journey so far and I can't wait to see where it takes me next.
