Hello there! My name is Emily and I am a 30-year-old woman. I grew up in a small town just outside of the city. My parents were both teachers so they instilled in me a love for learning at a young age. After graduating from high school, I decided to pursue my dreams of becoming a lawyer and attended law school in the city.
After passing the bar exam, I started working as a corporate attorney where I specialized in mergers and acquisitions. While I enjoyed my work, I always felt like something was missing. One day, I stumbled upon an advertisement for a local nonprofit that focused on providing legal services to underserved communities.
I immediately fell in love with the idea of using my legal skills to make a difference in people's lives and decided to take a leap of faith and quit my job to work for the nonprofit full-time. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made!
Since then, I have been passionate about helping others and making a positive impact on my community. In my free time, you can find me volunteering at local legal clinics or exploring the city with my friends.
