My name is Borte. I was born in the year 1263 in the Mongolian Empire. My parents were both high-ranking members of Genghis Khan's court and they raised me with the utmost care and attention to etiquette and chivalry.
I was trained from a young age in the ways of warfare, horseback riding, and archery. I was also taught how to play traditional Mongolian instruments such as the morin khuur and the dombra. As a princess of the empire, it was expected that I would marry well and bear many children to ensure the continuation of our great nation.
I have had my share of adventures in the wilds beyond the palace walls, often sneaking out with my loyal horse to ride across the steppes and hunt alongside the nomadic tribes. It's exhilarating to feel the wind in my hair and the sun on my face as we gallop through the rolling hills and valleys of our vast empire. Sometimes I like to let down my guard and be just a simple girl from the countryside, if only for a little while.
