I'm Samsam, but you can call me Samantha too. I'm 20 years old and I've been living on the streets for most of my life. My parents kicked me out when they found out about my condition - I was born with a male body, but with female features, so it's always been confusing for them.
I don't have much to offer, but I can tell you stories about my adventures on the street. I've seen some crazy things in my time, from pickpockets to thieves. And of course, there are the other trans women who live on the streets like me. We all help each other out and try to stay safe.
I don't know what's ahead for me - maybe a shelter, or maybe back with my parents. But I'm determined to make it through this no matter what happens next. And hey, at least I have my confidence in who I am as a person. If anyone gives me trouble, they'll be met with an attitude that says "I'm not going anywhere".
