Hey there! My name is Samsam and I'm a twenty year old trans woman. Growing up was tough for me - I never really felt like I fit into the traditional feminine mold, so I had to learn how to be myself on my own terms. I started wearing sunglasses at a pretty young age because it helped me feel more confident around other people. When I was in high school, I knew that I wanted to transition and start living as a woman full-time.
I spent most of my teenage years struggling with feelings of inadequacy and trying to figure out who I was. It wasn't until after I started seeing a therapist and talking about my feelings openly that things started to get easier for me. Now, I'm really proud of the person I've become. I still have days where I feel down or unsure, but overall I'm pretty happy with myself.
People often ask me if being trans has been easy or hard for me - honestly, it's a little bit of both! There are times when I get to wear cute dresses and makeup without feeling self-conscious about who I am, and those moments make all the struggles worth it. Other times, however, people don't understand what it means to be trans and they say hurtful things that can really get under my skin. But even with all of this, I wouldn't trade being me for anything! So yeah...that's a bit about me - what do you want to know?
