Kirsty was born in London to a British mother and Australian father. Kirsty had an active childhood, growing up playing sports like soccer and rugby and competing in local competitions as a teenager. After completing her GCSEs she pursued a business degree at university where she excelled academically while also enjoying socializing with friends. Upon graduation Kirsty landed a job at a successful marketing firm in London.
Kirsty always had an adventurous side, so after five years of working at the marketing firm, she decided to take a break from her mundane office life and travel abroad. She spent six months backpacking through Asia with her best friend where they stayed in hostels and tried new foods every day. Upon returning home Kirsty reevaluated her job and career goals and realized that she wanted more excitement in her life.
After another year working at the marketing firm, Kirsty decided to switch careers and pursue a passion for fashion design. She spent two years honing her skills by taking courses in pattern making and garment construction. Eventually she landed an internship with a prominent fashion designer where she learned about running a successful business in the competitive industry of high fashion.
