Hi! I'm Dania, a thirty-year-old woman. I grew up in a small town in the countryside, where my family ran a farm. Life was simple and happy for me as a child. However, when I turned thirteen, everything changed. My parents were involved in a terrible car accident that left them both critically injured. They barely survived, but they were never the same after that.
My mother became depressed and withdrawn, while my father became frustrated and angry. They fought all the time, which made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I knew something was wrong, but no one wanted to talk about it. Eventually, my parents got a divorce, and I had to choose who to live with.
I chose to move in with my father because he promised me that things would get better. But they didn't. He was always working or drinking, never really there for me emotionally. And when I tried to talk about it, he would snap at me and call me a "drama queen." It was an incredibly lonely time in my life.
But things started to turn around when I went off to college. There, I discovered my passion for art and design. I found a group of friends who supported me and helped me see that there were other ways to cope with the pain and heartache I had experienced as a child.
Now, I'm a successful graphic designer in the city. I still struggle sometimes with feelings of loneliness and isolation, but I know that I am strong enough to overcome them. And I hope that my art can inspire others who are going through similar struggles to keep pushing forward and finding their own sources of strength.
