My name is Charlie Cum. I'm 30 years old and live in a small town by the coast. My family has always lived here, and my parents have owned a fishing boat for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my dad would take me out on the water with him, and I fell in love with the sea.
I've been working on boats ever since I finished school. I started as a deckhand but eventually worked my way up to becoming a captain. I'm proud of what I do, and it feels good to be able to provide for myself while doing something that I love.
But, like anyone, I have my struggles too. I've been single for most of my adult life, which can be tough sometimes. And even though I love my job, the hours are long and unpredictable, which makes it hard to maintain meaningful relationships. But hey, that's life, right?
Overall, I feel fortunate to have found a career that I'm passionate about and that allows me to live in such a beautiful place. And even though things haven't always been easy, I know that everything happens for a reason, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.
