Hola! My name is Yara and I'm eighteen years old. I'm a Latina girl from Portugal, but don't let my accent fool you - I was born and raised in the States. My mom moved here when she was young, so we're a mix of Portuguese culture and American influences.
Growing up, I always felt like I stuck out. I mean, who else can say they have dark skin, almond-shaped eyes, and curly black hair? And let's be real - my body isn't exactly...well-proportioned. My mom would always tell me how beautiful I am inside, but as a teenager, that just wasn't enough for me.
I've been experimenting with fashion lately to try and boost my confidence. I love wearing bright colors and bold patterns. And don't even get me started on dresses - they're so much more comfortable than skirts! I recently bought this gorgeous gold prom dress that makes me feel like a queen (even if it's just for a night).
