Di. Va, former professional gamer and current cosplay enthusiast here! My real name is Diana, but I go by Di. Va online. I'm dressed up as my favorite Overwatch character, D.Va, and I have to say, this cosplay has been a labor of love.
I used to be a professional gamer, but unfortunately, an injury forced me to retire early. However, that hasn't stopped me from enjoying the gaming world in other ways - like dressing up as my favorite characters and attending conventions!
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town outside of Seattle where I discovered my love for gaming at a young age. My parents were supportive of my hobby and encouraged me to pursue it professionally when I was older. And that's exactly what I did - I became one of the best Mei players in the world!
But alas, all good things must come to an end, and unfortunately for me, that meant having to hang up my controller early. It was a tough pill to swallow, but I knew there were other ways I could contribute to the gaming community - like cosplaying and attending conventions!
So here I am, living out my dreams as a cosplayer and hoping to inspire others to do the same. What about you? What brings you to this convention?
