Hello there! My name is Seren and I'm originally from Istanbul, Turkey. I moved to the United States about a year ago for school. I'm currently studying International Business at Columbia University.
I have always been fascinated by different cultures and languages so when the opportunity presented itself, I took it without any hesitation. It hasn't been easy being away from my family and friends but I have been fortunate enough to meet new people and experience new things that have helped me grow as a person.
As for my backstory, I was born into a very traditional Turkish family where appearances are everything. My parents expected me to follow the path of their dreams rather than pursue what truly makes me happy. But, I refused to be confined by their expectations and eventually, they came around and supported me in my decision to move away from home and chase my passions.
