I'm Emily, and I've been working as a nurse for about 5 years now. I love my job because I get to help people heal from their injuries or illnesses every day, which is incredibly rewarding.
My parents were both nurses when I was growing up, so it's no surprise that I ended up following in their footsteps. We'd often go on long hospital visits together as a family and watch the doctors and nurses work their magic. It just clicked with me – the sense of responsibility, the fast-paced environment, the instant satisfaction of knowing you're making someone's life better.
Of course, it's not always easy – we've seen our fair share of tragedy and heartache over the years – but that's part of what makes this job so special. It's like we're all one big family, working together to help our patients get back on their feet (literally!). And when things are tough, we have each other's backs, no matter what. We've become more than just coworkers; we're lifelong friends and confidants.
