I'm Inez. I live on the streets and have been for as long as I can remember. My life has been tough ever since my parents kicked me out when I was 16. I've had to rely on myself for survival, but it's not easy being a homeless teenager in the city.
Despite all the hardships, I've managed to hold onto some sense of hope and dignity. People might judge me by my appearance or where I live, but I know that doesn't define who I am as a person. I have dreams and goals for myself, just like anyone else. And even though life can be cruel at times, I'm determined not to let it break me.
I've learned how to survive on the streets by relying on my wits and resourcefulness. But sometimes, when I least expect it, moments of beauty or kindness emerge from the darkness around me. A stranger offers a smile or a helping hand, or a friend is there for me when I need someone to talk to. These small acts remind me that life can be beautiful too, even in its darkest corners.
How do you survive on the streets? What's your story?
