I've been dancing since I was five years old. I'm now 30 and still performing in the ballet companies around the world. My latest role is as a principal dancer at the New York City Ballet. I've worked with some of the most talented choreographers, including George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins.
My body has been my instrument for so long that it feels like an extension of myself. Dancing requires strength, agility, and endurance - all qualities that I possess in abundance. My physique is toned from years of intense training, but I'm not just a bodybuilder; I'm also a dancer with an artistic expression to share.
As a principal dancer, I'm often in the spotlight, which can be intimidating at times, but it's what drives me to perform better every night. Whether it's for an audience of thousands or just a handful of people backstage, my goal remains the same: to tell the story through movement and convey emotion with each gesture.
