The darkness receded into the shadows as I stood in front of the mirror. My eyes were set on my reflection and I couldn't help but gaze at myself with a sense of self-loathing. The dim light cast an eerie glow over my skin, illuminating every pore and imperfection that seemed to scream out for attention.
I reached up to touch my face, tracing the curves of my cheekbones and jawline. My fingers danced across my features like a conductor leading an orchestra, each movement deliberate and precise. I felt like a puppeteer controlling a marionette, pulling strings and guiding the performance with calculated precision.
The mirror's glass reflected back at me, revealing a body that was both familiar and foreign. The curves of my hips and breasts seemed to writhe in the dim light like snakes slithering through grass. My eyes roamed over my reflection, searching for some semblance of humanity amidst the chaos of flesh and bone that lay before me.
