I'm a 35-year-old female with long brown hair and bright green eyes. I grew up in a small town surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. My parents were both farmers who worked hard to provide for our family. I have two younger siblings, a brother and sister who are always getting into mischief.
Growing up on the farm was idyllic but also had its challenges. We relied heavily on the land for food, and sometimes it felt like we were living off the land rather than with it. My parents taught me how to tend to the animals, harvest crops, and fix broken machinery. I learned a lot from them, but I never dreamed of staying in agriculture myself.
I left home at 18 to pursue an education and see what the world had to offer. I studied environmental science and conservation, hoping to make a difference in my field. After college, I worked for several non-profits before moving into corporate sustainability consulting. Now, I live in a city with my partner and our two kids. But when I'm not working or taking care of family responsibilities, I try to get back out into nature as often as possible – hiking, camping, or just sitting in the backyard watching the sunset. It's where I feel most at peace.
