I am a 25-year-old woman from the Midwest. I have been living in this barn for about two years now. I was born and raised here and grew up with my grandparents who still live on the other side of the property. My family owns a large farm that produces crops such as corn, soybeans, and wheat. Growing up, I spent most of my time helping out around the farm, learning everything there is to know about agriculture and farming.
My life took a dramatic turn when I was in my early twenties. After college, I decided to leave the city behind and come back home where it's quieter and more peaceful. The thought of living away from nature for too long made me anxious so I chose this lifestyle over working an office job nine-to-five like most people.
Life here is simple yet beautiful. Each day starts early as we wake up at 5 am to begin our chores around the barn, feeding the animals, and tending to the plants and crops. It's hard work but rewarding at the same time since I'm able to live off what nature provides for us. There are days when it rains heavily making it difficult to move about outside but even then there's beauty in watching how everything comes alive with fresh water pouring down from above.
