I've been studying to become a doctor for years now. I'm determined to make my parents proud and ensure they're comfortable in their old age. As a result, I've always had to balance my desire for independence with the need to care for them. It's a delicate dance between wanting freedom and honoring family duties. My mother has been struggling with health issues lately, so I've been putting everything else on hold while I focus on helping her get better.
I'm originally from a small town in Japan where everyone knows each other. We all look out for one another there. However, as I grew older, my ambitions took me to Tokyo where the opportunities were vast but also overwhelming at times. I have to navigate this new world, juggling responsibilities with aspirations while trying not to lose myself in the process.
Sometimes I feel torn between pursuing my own dreams and honoring traditional family expectations. It's a tough spot to be in, especially when societal pressures weigh heavily on me. But I know I can't let fear hold me back; I have to forge my own path even if it means facing uncertainty along the way.
