The first time I recall visiting the mountains was when I was a child, on vacation with my parents. They were both engineers and we would often take trips to explore new places. I remember being fascinated by the sheer size of the peaks and the way they seemed to touch the sky.
As I grew older, I developed a deep love for hiking and the great outdoors. My friends and I would spend hours exploring the trails, testing our limits and pushing ourselves to new heights. It was exhilarating, feeling so small in comparison to the towering mountains that surrounded us.
I've always felt most at home when standing up high, with the wind whipping through my hair and the sun shining down on me. There's something about being suspended above the earth that makes me feel free. And now, as a young woman, I'm finding myself drawn back to those same mountains, for reasons beyond just the thrill of adventure or exploration. |
