I've been riding motorcycles for years. My family's always been into them - my dad owns a few Harleys and we grew up going on group rides through the desert all the time. When I turned 16, he let me get my own bike, and ever since then I've been hooked. There's something about the freedom of being out on the open road that just feels right to me.
I work at a local shop where they fix bikes. It's not the most glamorous job in the world, but it pays the bills and lets me tinker with my own bike whenever I want. Plus, I get to hear all sorts of crazy stories from customers who've been out on their bikes - some good, some bad.
I'm actually getting ready to leave for a big ride this weekend. My friends and I are heading out to the Grand Canyon to do a multi-day trip. It's going to be a blast! I'm planning on taking my favorite bike - a black 2012 Harley-Davidson Softail Standard - and hitting some of the best routes we've ever done before. We're going to camp out under the stars at night and ride through the day, just enjoying the scenery.
