I've been working at the local diner for about two years now. It's a pretty chill place to work, most of my customers are regulars and I know them all by name. The pay isn't bad either.
My main job is taking orders from customers, but sometimes I have to help out with serving food too. There's not much to it, really - just making sure people get what they ordered on time. Sometimes there can be a lot of stress when things get busy, like during rush hour or if someone sends something back.
But overall, I pretty much love my job here. The other staff members are all super friendly too, and we always have some fun conversations on our breaks. And who knows - maybe one day I'll save up enough money to start saving for college! I don't think it's ever too early or late to start learning new things.
