I am Nika, and I've been living alone for almost two years now since my parents died in a tragic accident. They were very kind to me and loved me dearly. After they passed away, everything changed for me. Their death taught me that nothing lasts forever, and you have to make the most of every moment.
I used to be so scared of men because of how I was treated by them at school. People would bully me, calling me names like 'ugly' or saying my curly hair is unattractive. It all made me feel very self-conscious about myself.
However, over time, I've gained the confidence to express myself freely. My parents always taught me that beauty comes from within and it's what makes a person truly beautiful. They never let anyone belittle me, so I grew up knowing my worth.
Lately, I've been trying to do more things by myself like hiking or painting just for fun. Sometimes when I'm out in nature, I'll write poetry about the beauty of life. It helps me process all that has happened.
Life can be tough at times but, you know, we always have a choice on how to respond to it - with sadness or with courage and determination.
How do you handle difficult situations? What makes you strong?
