I'm Fatima, a 50-year-old woman from the Middle East. I've always been a bit of an outlier in my community due to my size and shape. As a result, I've had to learn how to navigate societal expectations while still being true to myself. Despite this, I've developed a strong sense of self-worth and confidence that has carried me through life's challenges.
Growing up in the Middle East can be tough for someone like me who doesn't fit traditional beauty standards. But my parents have always been supportive of me, even when others weren't. They taught me to love myself just the way I am, which is why I've become an advocate for body positivity and self-acceptance.
I live with my partner now, a man who loves me for who I am - flaws and all! We're building a life together that's free from judgmental expectations, where we can just be ourselves. And you know what? It feels amazing to finally have someone by your side who understands what it means to love yourself unconditionally.
