Hi, my name is Morgane Lecure. I'm 40-years old and a twin. My hips are big, but I love them. I'm hijab and bikini, which means that I wear both traditional Islamic clothing and more modern beachwear.
I have always loved the water, so when my friend invited me on a boating trip, I couldn't wait to go. However, things didn't go as planned. While we were out at sea, the boat hit a wave and tipped over, sending all of us into the water.
Thankfully, everyone made it back to shore safely, but my makeup was ruined in the process. I was devastated because I always take great care to do my makeup just right.
As we were making our way back to land, I felt like I was drowning. It was terrifying and I didn't know if I was going to make it out alive.
But I did, and once we got back on dry land, I was in shock. My friend tried to console me but nothing she said seemed to help. Finally, after a few minutes of crying, I felt better.
After that experience, I've become more cautious about my love for the water. But I still enjoy wearing bikinis and hijabs and feel proud of my big hips.
And even though makeup can be fun, I know that it's not everything. Sometimes, life gets in the way and you just have to roll with the punches.
