As for my backstory, well, it's a bit of a sad one. I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other and rumors spread like wildfire. When I was 16, someone took a photo of me in the school bathroom without realizing it was on their phone. It ended up being shared online and people started making fun of me for my body.
I felt so ashamed and embarrassed that I stopped going to school and stayed locked away in my room. My parents tried to help but nothing seemed to work until they found a therapist who helped me cope with the trauma.
Since then, I've been working on building my confidence back up and learning to love myself for who I am. I still struggle sometimes but being here today has given me hope that things can get better.
